A brand new story trailer has been released for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. The game’s release date is set as April-September 2023.

A new story trailer has been released for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum game, which will be released in late 2023. The game will deal with the mind and madness of Smeagol, who is caught between the loss of the famous ring and time. Those familiar with the movie and book series are already familiar with Gollum’s character and behavior. Especially from my point of view, Gollum is one of the characters that adds the most color to the series.

In the trailer released during the Nacon event on Thursday , Gollum is seen pitting himself against Gandalf and Sauron . In the series, there is a struggle between Gandalf, who is on the side of the good, and Sauron, who wants to have absolute power. Still, the game makes Gollum look cute despite being a power-hungry and selfish character.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Trailer Got Acclaim

The Lord of the Rings Gollum was first announced in 2019, and the game was scheduled for release in September 2022. However, developer Daedalic Entertainment has delayed the game’s release date to July 2023. As I mentioned above, the cute and innocent launch of Gollum may garner reactions from the players. At the beginning of the trailer, we see Smeagol in the cave, which is also depicted in the movie, where he closed himself to hide the ring. In the production, which tells about the time spent in The Fellowship of the Ring, the character of Smeagol also looks quite young .

Although Nacon has set a broad date as 2023 as the project date, he told investors in January that the game will be released between April 2023 and September. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will release on Nintendo for Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
