Apple will diversify its production of new HomePods and smart home devices.
Apple has started developing a new high-end HomePod, an updated HomePod mini, and two other home devices that could see the light of day in late 2023 or early 2024, according to the latest report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman .
Gurman said Apple has “ at least four new smart home devices in its labs , but not all of them will come to light .” As of now, a new high-end HomePod is much more likely to arrive, but it’s good to see the iPhone maker increase its interest in smart home devices. As previously reported by the journalist, this new HomePod, codenamed B620, will use the same S8 processor of the Watch Series 8.
Apple Will Release Two New HomePod Models
The new information this time around is that Gurman has reported that the iPhone maker is working on an updated HomePod mini . While it’s unclear what might change, the company may be planning to update all of its devices with Bluetooth 5.2 support, as an important audio software technology is released.
In addition, two other smart home devices developed by Apple are a kitchen device that combines an iPad and a speaker ; It’s reportedly a living room device that combines a TV, camera, and HomePod . It is also stated that one of them will be released at the end of next year or early 2024. Both products will definitely compete with Amazon’s options like the Amazon Echo and Amazon Show.
As the company pushes the HomePod mini and Apple TV to be people’s home hubs, these devices will work in full harmony with the smart homes of the company’s loyal users.
